Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman, an Olympic gold medalist gymnast was the one who took the U.S. to victory in both the years 2012 and 2016. Six of her Olympic gold medals are part of the record-breaking number. Additionally, she was a member two World Championships-winning teams. A native of Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's passion for sports can be traced back to an early "mommy and me" gymnastics class that she attended as a baby of 18 months. Aly is a leader on and off the floor, and a fierce proponent of body positivity. She was also recently as she was vocal about Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly Raisman, born in 1994 began gymnastics as when she was a child. She contributed to helping the U.S. team to win the 2011 World Championships. The American gymnast won two gold medals in 2012 during the London Summer Olympics two of which were to the team and one to be awarded for floor work. In the year 2016, Raisman returned to compete in the Olympics in Rio, winning silver medals at the individual floor and all-around final as well as gold in the women's gymnastics team event. Raisman admitted in 2017 that she was abused sexually by a former team doctor Larry Nassar. The following year, she brought the lawsuit against USA Gymnastics as well as the U.S. Olympic Committee.
