Charlotte Church

Charlotte Church, a Welsh singer who was just 12 when she recorded her debut album "Voice of an Angel", rose to prominence. Charlotte Church is an accomplished performer, and has also performed on stage and acted in a TV show. She was able to demonstrate a talent to sing at a young age, and was singing publically since she was three and a year old. In her early years, she started out as a classical singer of hymns. She also performed 'Pie Jesu' on the phone to a T.V. show when she turned 11. The public was then first introduced to her via her appearance in the "Big show for Big Talent". Charlotte was able to sing at concerts in Cardiff Arms Park, and Royal Albert Hall. Jonathan Shalit recognized Charlotte's talent and helped to sign her contract with Sony Music. He also became her manager. She was the youngest musician to have a number one album with her first release"Voice of An Angel.' It was released in 1999. number one album on British charts of the classical crossover. Her fame grew throughout the years, and she has been invited to perform before notable people, including the former US President Clinton The Prince of Wales Charles, and Pope John Paul II.
